Revit Architecture Basic

Overview:

This 40-hour course is aimed at mostly architects, but would also benefit other engineers who desire to gain a comprehensive introduction to the use of Autodesk Revit Architecture, and gain the practical experience necessary to confidently start put the software into practice.

The course is delivered by one of Walter BIM Academy’s registered ATC instructors, using a combination of presentations, interactive sessions and work on real-life projects. Students will gain hands-on experience of using the Revit Architecture software on topics listed in the program. The focus of the course will be the practical application of Autodesk Revit Architecture, and students will gain necessary the knowledge to create a Preliminary Architectural Design for their own projects. Furthermore, students will gain the necessary expertise to successfully gain the Autodesk Revit Architecture User Certification upon completion of this course, should they wish to do so.

Prerequisites:

An underlying knowledge of architectural design and drafting practice is recommended. Experience of using CAD packages is advantageous but not essential. Candidates should be accustomed to working with Microsoft Windows, as well as possess general computer literacy.

Revit Architecture Advanced

Overview:

This 40-hour course is aimed at mostly architects, but would also benefit other engineers who desire to gain a comprehensive introduction to the use of Autodesk Revit Architecture, and gain the practical experience necessary to confidently start put the software into practice.

The course is delivered by one of Walter BIM Academy’s registered ATC instructors, using a combination of presentations, interactive sessions and work on real-life projects. Students will gain hands-on experience of using the Revit Architecture software on topics listed in the program. The focus of the course will be a practical application of Autodesk Revit Architecture, and students will gain the necessary knowledge to create a Main Architectural Design as well as an As-built Architectural Project on their own projects. A greater focus will be given to content management and creation. This means that students will gain necessary knowledge to create their own families within the Revit project, and load them into their projects. Furthermore, students will start preparing for Autodesk Revit Professional Certification. As recommended by Autodesk, upon completion of this course, students will need 400 hours hands-on experience prior to taking the Autodesk Revit Professional Certification, should they wish to do so.

Prerequisites:

An underlying knowledge of architectural design and drafting practice is recommended. A successful completion of the Revit Architecture Basic course, or if students worked on Revit independently, they will be given a test prior to starting this course that they need to successfully complete. Experience of using CAD packages is advantageous but not essential. Candidates should be accustomed to working with Microsoft Windows, as well as possess general computer literacy.

 

Revit Structure Basic

Overview:

This 40-hour course is aimed at mostly civil/structural engineers, but would also benefit other engineers who desire to gain a more detailed and complex knowledge of how to use Autodesk Revit Structure, and the practical experience necessary to confidently start put the software into practice.

The course is delivered by one of Walter BIM Academy’s registered ATC instructors, using a combination of presentations, interactive sessions and work on real-life projects. Students will gain hands-on experience of using the Revit Structure software on topics listed in the program. The focus of the course will be a practical application of Autodesk Revit Structure, and students will gain the necessary knowledge to create a Structural Preliminary Design for their own projects. Furthermore, students will start to prepare for an Autodesk Revit Professional Certification. As recommended by Autodesk, upon completion of this course, students will need 400 hours hands-on experience prior to taking the Autodesk Revit Professional Certification, should they wish to do so. Upon completion of this course, students will be equipped to pass Revit User Certification should they wish to do so.

Revit MEP/Electrical Basic

Overview:

This 30-hour course is aimed at mostly Electrical engineers, but would also benefit other engineers who desire to gain a more detailed and complex knowledge of the use of Autodesk Revit MEP, and the practical experience necessary to confidently start put the software into practice.

The course is delivered by one of Walter BIM Academy’s registered ATC instructors, using a combination of presentations, interactive sessions and work on real-life projects. Students will gain hands-on experience of using the Revit MEP software on topics listed in the program. The focus of the course will be a practical application of Autodesk Revit MEP, and students will gain the necessary knowledge to create primarily Electrical Preliminary Design for their own projects. Furthermore, students will start to prepare for the Autodesk Revit Professional Certification. As recommended by Autodesk, upon completion of this course, students will need 400 hours hands-on experience prior to taking an Autodesk Revit Professional Certification, should they wish to do so. Upon completion of this course, students will be equipped to pass the Revit User Certification should they wish to do so.
